My story,
I started Sunsry to create a space for individuals who have connections to many places and interests.
I was born and raised in South Africa, and moved to the UK in my school years. My ethnic background is Malaysian, Chinese, German, Irish and West Indies.
I couldn't find a brand that truly represented individuals like me with such varied backgrounds and identities. In a world where humans by nature are intricate and layered - brands focus on serving a niche that is only one part of us.
While working in a fashion agency, I had the opportunity to work across different jewellery brands, and I fell in love with the process. The idea that we can create something that can last life times.
My mission was to create pieces that cross borders and perspectives, have longevity and would not irritate my sensitive skin.
No matter our origins or our differences, we all share the same sun. It's what unites us, wherever we have come from, and where ever we go.
Longevity
Quality is at the forefront of our design process. Our pieces will last years, not months. We work with trusted partners who are Sedex certified and members of the Responsible Jewellery Council. We go the extra mile to third party test that our collections are lead and nickel free.
Inclusivity
We believe in building space and connections for individuals who have been under-represented in the premium jewellery space. Where we feel pressure to blend in, these pieces are designed to stand out and celebrate our unique backgrounds, talents and perspectives.
Empowerment
Our mission is simple, empowerment through the creative process. All ages, genders, cultures, and disciplines. This mission extends beyond our collections, but to causes that support minority groups.

We advance trust, transparency, and sustainability, benefiting consumers, communities, and the environment.

Sedex has over 20 years of expertise and provides end-to-end supply chain solutions for all businesses, including SMETA, our world-leading site-level social audit.
Bureau Veritas minimizes risk for its Metals and Minerals clients by providing a broad range of essential inspection and testing services throughout the value chain. Our collections are independently tested for nickel and lead free metal.
